Should the sdcard not be in the phone? Cuz that doesn't make any sense.

Should the phone (with the sdcard in it) be plugged into the PC but "USB use" not enabled?

SD card stays in the phone, plug the phone in to your computer using your USB cable. Do NOT mount your phone to the computer. Meaning, do NOT enable USB storage.

Then follow the steps in the OP.

I just reinstalled this to day after switching back from zvh to zvd. Even so it took me a few minutes to figure this out, mainly dew to the fact of not enabling usb storage. It wasnt in the directions, so didnt think of it.

I did what the guide told me step by step, but when the phone goes to recovery, its still clockworkmod's recovery :'( . I hear that it's unstable for certain roms so I want to switch over to Xionia. I did this 2-3 times but the results were the same.
Can anybody help me? Thanks

Copy everything on your SD card off, format it, ONLY PUT THE TWO FILES NEEDED FOR THIS RECOVERY BACK ON, retry. Yes the phone will create a few folders on there no big deal. There's another method but you dont want to go down that road yet.

when i do the flash image 2nd line code it comes back as no such file or directory. do i leave flash image in the rar pkg and put it on my sd card

Unzip both files to the root of the sdcard.

Manually mount it in the advanced menu.

cmd will allow u to use paste but u have to right click paste. Dont know about other terminals

I put the CWM img file on my sd root ......now what?? sry im new to this....also i have the SDK but a walkthrough would be awesome the program is a little confusing... i think that is where i need to inout the code and somehow get it to transfer to the phone..??

Download and open terminal emulator or adb and run the terminal commands on the first page

i dont see terminal emulator or adb in SDK ... am i using the right program?

If you on your phone download and run term emo, if you're on your computer you'll use adb, do you knot your cmd(comand prompt) commands? If yes CD into the directory that you downloaded the sdk to and then CD into the tools folder then type adb shell and then type in the commands on the first page if this post has lost you send me a pm and give me about 30 mins to get to a computer and ill tutor you on using adb. Not joking or being sarcastic.
