Also I can't go into recovery mode or anything. I just need to find a way to make my phone work again thanks.

Try these steps:

-pull battery for a few seconds and reinsert
-manually boot into recovery by holding HOME, VOLUME DOWN, and POWER until the recovery screen comes up
-reflash what ever custom rom you have installed on your phone.

If you are able to perform all these steps and it still does not work, then you will need to perform a factory reset (from recovery mode) and wipe all caches then flash your rom again. You will lose all apps and data, but it should boot fresh.

I still cant get into recovery mode. What it does it boot up to silver lg logo, then goes to android system recovery and says formatting data, formatting cache, factory reset, rebooting, then goes back to silver logo then it goes to red lg logo then stops and the blue android screen where it has a shine animation. Please someone help me fix my phone. I think this all happened when I went and wiped to factory or something. Also I tried to use xionia 1.2518.6 zip version flashing using the zip flash. And now I'm stuck please help. ASAP!!

I think it's all because I flashed the xionia cwna zip version I got on another site. Is there a way to reflash or fix it??

I just check my status and it says im in device mode. So what can I do to fix my phone?
I don't know what "device mode" is.

Turn on your phone, exit the lock screen, then In "adb shell" type "su" and see if you get the "#" prompt of if you get a prompt on your screen asking for permissions. That will tell you if you have root.

If so there may be something you can try. If not, try rooting your phone and let me know when it is rooted.

Hello people can some one help me with an issue i have been having latly on both Optimus phones i have? My issue is that when i go and select Wipe Dalvik Cache the status text tell me this" E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (No such fole or directory) " and then when I select yes and select Wipe Dalvik Cache the status tells me this " E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File Exist) ". I would like to fix this issues since its bothering me. I have been researching it online with no luck on a possible solution but ill keep looking and hopefully someone with this error can help.

Edit: one optimus has rooted stock ZVH/GingerBread with 16GB SD formated by the phone while the other has rooted sROM ZVD/Froyo with 2GB SD formated by PC

Edit2: I solved my issue i just partitioned my SD an no error any more.

I'm totally confused by this. I reboot the phone into the default recovery menu, and the files I put on the SD card don't show up. How do I flash this, and what do I use?

Easiest way is this.

If you're rooted already, use option C.
If you have an unrooted ZVH installed, you can use option A.
DO NOT choose option A if you already have root, or do not have ZVH radio.

The alternate way is described on the first page, which uses ADB (Requires root)
Just in case you decide to go this route, i have included a copy (start.bat opens ADB shell)

Both of these methods require your phone to be plugged in, drivers installed, and debug mode enabled (Settings>Applications>Development>Enable USB Debugging)
ADB Shell will not open if your phone isn't plugged in or if the drivers are not installed.

It doesn't really hurt anything to choose Option A when you are already rooted. It'll just reinstall root.

The rooting method shouldn't be *radio* dependent. It is mostly tested by others on ZVH, but it should work on ZVD. It is only *rom* dependent in the sense that newer roms may plug the hole it uses. In that case, it won't hurt to run Option A, it just won't work and will give some error messages.

I figured it out last night after downloading the auto root software with the Zergs.

Having some issues mounting the flash_image file for Xionia. I am rooted on ZVD, fresh reboot. SU recognizes me from ABD on my computer, but when I type in this line: cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image I get "no such file or directory."

I unzipped this file to the sdcard with xionia and my ROM of choosing. Why is the phone not seeing this file on the card?

So I get to the 2nd to last line and I get

"flash_image: 1 Syntax error: ")" unexpected"

any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?
