[Custom Recovery] Xionia Clockwork (CWMA v1.2518.6)

Maybe if you read the stickies before you bricked it you would not have this problem. The devs are always willing to help and have always been there. Read before you blame others.

This thread is worthless and should be deleted, all it does is give false hopes to us with bricks that there is a fix... Go for the downloads first before you read the entire damned page... I learned that the hard way

You posted this in the v forums too. Do you even know what phone you have? No wonder you bricked it.

Oh and I see from your other post you bricked it with rom manager. I'm out of sympathy for people who go tinkering with their phone BEFORE reading anything about it.

Now that's not very nice...

Why don't you start with explaining the issue you are having before trashing a thread (apparently 2, looking at your post history). If you don't explain the issue you're having, how can anyone help you?

He does have a post about how he bricked it...with rom manager.

You mean this?

That was posted in the Introductions forum, which is not the correct forum for device issues like this. Also, he stated he had ClockworkMod 3.2.0.1 which doesn't even exist on the Optimus S.

What bricked the phone was not actually ROM Manager, rather doing a data reset from the privacy menu. There is a big sticky about this right here. Since based on the version of CWM (3.2.0.1), the phone is probably an Optimus V. Michael420s, ask nicely in the Optimus V forum (or another correct forum for your device) and someone should be able to help you.

sometimes you learn the hard way that stickies are there for good reasons... I learned my lesson on that several times :D

I really wanted to say:

Hi there, Stoner Megatron. So you've eaten yourself silly on energon cubes (read: Doritos) and your home planet (read: refrigerator) is devoid of consumable resources. We're delighted that you have traveled across the galaxy to our humble planet to tell Optimus Prime and his buddies (your LG phone and those who hack it) that they suck, but your attempts at communication are a total fail. Surrender your keyboard and biatchslap Star Scream or we'll send in Scooby Doo and Serpentor to end your shizz like yesterchrons ago. Mystery Machine comin' for yo a$$ like Cops, so just put the mouse through the mail slot and no one gets hurt... Don't make us bring in Slayer... or... Fran Drescher!! I'm thuper thereal!

...or something like that.

Xionia rules!

OH my GOD!! I love you- and I MEAN that!!! I am an android noob, with enough knowledge to break the phone but not fix it- was having battery issues, and wanted to load up my stock(ish) nandroid back up using CMW - i got stuck in a boot loop with in CMW, even though it seemed the recovery would work- following this thread ( and a few others about using ADB/PDA net) and what commands to use, i was able to get back to a generally stock ROM.. thank you sooo much for all your 1337 skills.. you have saved my life, and literally my dogs, who was hit by a car, and me with no way to get help ( live in the sticks with a cracked engine block)... thank you soo much, keep up the good work.

you see, this is the kind of noob that I like to have joining the community.

the links are not avaible put new wants plese and put a video pleesee :'(
The link to the recovery works just fine; you can find flash_image in any number of other places.

Regarding the video, no one has done that for the install process, but Zefie has explicitly described the entire process, with formatting and links, in the OP.

Xionia does rule! And really! Apparently some people haven been slapped enough when they was little if the thread sucks bad enough why don't you hack the phones, write the software, make your own thread.......man I was haveing a bad day! How dare you come to these threads! Were I come to be happy and insult the most helpful people who help for FREE and taint it with your whining! Insults because YOU ARE A MORON!.............sorry people iv had a bad day and reading that just did it for me didn't mean to flip but come one! I come here to get away from mean stupid people I know its weird but these threads are sacred to me my quiet speacial place that I can share intrest with cool peeps(it probably keeps me from many assult charges)

Oh well hey drew I was wondering couldn't you just copy the amend scripting from xionias recovery and copy it to cwmT? .................sorry everyone I prob shouldn't have posted that last one rudeness isn't an excuse for rudeness................

So how long have you been in tech support? lol

Regarding including Amend scripting in a new recovery... I don't know how it translates to dev workload, but I can assure you that it's not just a copy-paste operation. ;) Besides, versatility is key, but sometimes superior technologies have to be respected and allowed to thrive, sounding the final bell for an older method. It's great when the new technology is backwards compatible, but it's not always that easy.

Actually iv been in tech support for 20+ yrs I'm pretty new to the android scene and iv only tinkered with linux as windows is the number one choice of the computer illiterate however in the last 30+? Weeks iv learned a lot from you guys and I'm hooked and my wife says iv been muttering something in my sleep about not haveing root access:p

I once drank a bottle of wild turkey and walked my brother thru building a comp from scratch over the phone while rewiring a 440 power junction box in a thunderstorm hows that for tech support! and you'd have a better chances teaching a dead monkey to speak than my brother to build a comp ....but he did it and I didn't die:cool: it was a weird day

I also was a computer tech for homeland security/cia for 6-months but I got fired for telling my boss off I have long hair and he tried to tell me that people like me we're what's wrong with America (while I was setting up his network!) but I told him off:cool:

I agree with you about the amend scripting but think of all the roms! I had to switch back to xionia recovery for that I can do anything feel but cwmT is way cooler however iv alway been a advocate of completion I don't mind switching back and forth

Without backwards compatability......idk that just seems wrong
I can't wait to get a laptop there is so much I wanna do the last year has been real hard for me me and my wifes entire family died - my brother and my sister I have had the hardest time finding stable work and we decided to take our daughter traveling in our rv in search of a better life but we must be very careful with our money so no laptop for me:'( once my droid gives out I'm boned so I hope things pick upactuall after 4yrs of school 20 yrs of hands on exp......I'm shocked and a little intimidated at how much I don't know

If only it were that simple... Trust me, I'm trying.
