Custom ringtones for contacts

My custom ringtones work fine as teh default ring and even my alerts/notifications... but when i try to choose one to be for a specific contact it lets me select and listen to it but it wont save it as the ring. it just reverts to default...

any ideas?

I had the same problem with mine when I first got it. I ended up pulling the battery and after putting it back in, I powered the phone on and it worked. Haven't had a problem since.
