Custom ROM with googles extended warranty

I got my Nexus 6p a little under a year ago with Google's extended accident protection (I can get it fixed two times over two years). I guess I could go through the whole contract to find the answer but I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not that would get voided if I installed a custom ROM (most likely Pure Nexus if that matters)?

Yep. Custom ROM = warranty void. Of course, if a problem arises and the phone still works, you can always restore the stock OS & unroot. However, if there's a problem and the phone doesn't work, you're screwed.
