Custom vibrate not taking

Had my vzw gs4 about a week now, and having 1 issue. I set a custom vibrate duration in the sound menu, click it to apply it, but when i get a notification its still just one loooooooooon vibrate. Really annoying. Any ideas on how to change this? Thanks.

Try using an app called smart vibrator. very useful as custom making your own vibration
