It's called live message and it's one of the SPen features. Just pull out the SPen, or if you're already using it tap on the floating air command icon and live message will show up there

Here is the air command one. After you do what I said in pic below, hit share after writing your message and choose one of the options available in the menu that pops up. Hope this helps and welcome to the note world lol

i love my note 8, live in michigan and got just got it around 2:30 p.m.wed the 6th.But I talked to a Samsung tech online and asked him how some have gotten theirs and why, simple answer he said it was all on who ever re ordered first and what color or what size gb you were getting all plays a factor!

What size GB. Is there different models storage size here in the states.

Best test of the camera is INDOORS under normal ambient light and low light. Every camera looks great outdoors.

Just 1 question, how will you unlock you phone when it is placed on the table?

Isn't there iris scan unlock or facial recognition unlock?

Having to get used to a Note again, but, my only real complaint is the selection of clocks....I don't like them LOL

I'll add my two cents...

After one day of using my new Note 8, I'm really loving it! Screen is beautiful, its very fluid and smooth, and I keep finding new, useful features!

By the way, I ordered the glass screen protector from Verizon, and so far (after a full day, mind you), I'm liking it!

It comes with a plastic device that almost looks like a bumper, that you put on your Note 8 before installing the screen protector, to assist in aligning it perfectly! It also has two large tabs at the top and bottom, so you can position it while only holding on to those two tabs, and you don't have to worry about getting finger prints on the screen protector before it's even installed!

Once installed, it has no bubbles, it's case friendly (leaves small margins around the sides for a case to utilize) and while it doesn't keep fingerprints off, it does seem to be easier to clean when the screen gets smudged up.

Of course, it's only been one day, and for all I know, it may pop off on day 3 or 4, but so far, I'm very impressed with how well this protector works!

Back to the Note 8... those of you who have ordered one, and are still waiting... you will NOT be disappointed! (I'm sure most of you have already gone to Best Buy, or wherever, and seen one in person)

Do you have pictures? I'm usually against screen protectors as it tends to take away from the looks and feel of the screen. I'm always open to try one if I know it's a great product, though.

Jewel81 thanks for all your help. I pre-ordered with Best Buy Canada and phone is coming Sept.15. I am excited about it. I sold my Keyone to buy the Note 8. Keyone didn't have enough glitz for me lol. Good solid work phone, but actually I wanted to be able to take super pictures. I live in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. I hope to post some photos soon, and send some cool sparkly messages lol. Once again thanks for your help.

I never cared for those. if Sammy's clock widgets suck I'll be doing without again. need better weather (pulled those too) and clock apps and widgets.

Interesting... There's probably a thousand different styles, I'm surprised there's nothing there that works for you. You can link the widget to open whatever weather app you want as well. I've been using it since my Motorola Droid X (anyone remember that thing) and found it to be pretty solid. Is there a specific style or something you're looking for?

Why would you want to unlock your phone when it's sitting on a table? If I'm unlocking my phone, I plan on using it. Can't use it while it's sitting on a table.

When I'm eating my lunch I use my phone with it sitting on the table. So it's nice to be able to unlock it with a pin so I don't have to pick it up to unlock.

i love it and it came with 300$ worth of free stuff, and theres a bunch of different colors but depends on what phone carrier you have, and i have the 64gb version. Also they have a special edition out or coming out but i dont know for what company.

yes there is both features and they both are alot more secure then the fist phones that had it.
