Just had my phone shut down at over 50% battery. Plugged in and showing 18% so obviously something is amiss. The compass has been poor for ages now so rang Google.
Anyway after a 2 min call they're sending me a new phone out. Definitely a good move buying straight from Google.

I've had pretty good luck with their support other than one issue where they lost my order for like 6 weeks 0 though the cause of that issue was my fault and their system just got confused. They ended up giving me the order for free.

Even though I have had minor issues and not the bootloop or battery issue, would it be wise to get a replacement before warranty runs out ?

Possibly. The phone they've just sent me appears to be brand new. Still on android 6.0. Downside is it's white when mine is silver. Always in a case so not really that important I suppose.

I bought the Nexus 6P at Best Buy. would I contact Google for replacement..

Not sure what laws apply over there. Over here (uk) you'd usually contact the retailer.

Thx. Bought in October so I might just wait a little while. Who who knows maybe Google will do something about it before then.
