Stock Vanilla Android 2.1 has this. the moto droid has this. if you go to settings accounts it allows you to add your facebook account. and then gives you the option to sync contacts. but for some reason i cant get it to work on CM. after i hit add account it open facebook like it should but the account neaver stays in the settings > accounts & sync settings. i was wondering if anyone has found a fix for this.

adb shell rm /system/app/Facebook.apk
adb reboot

Let it restart, then install Facebook from Market if you haven't already. Sync will work, a lot less effort.

Running the latest nightly, didn't wipe this time between builds.

PS, I strongly recommend and support wiping before you flash. I tried the 7/23 with out wiping, and it did not play nicely. Will fiddle more with it when i have time.

I've been doing that until the most recent build. I guess I got tired of having to re download everything (or have nothing) and so far I haven't had any issues.

Its working fine for me...

Before I flash the new builds i always make a back up

and if things get screwy i restore and flash again...

so far so good...

For some odd reason, it uninstalled a select few apps, and then wouldn't let me re-install them via backup... weird huh?

no worries though, i flashed back one night, NBD
