CyanogenMod 10.1 installation aborted?

Hello,

I have a rooted AT&T galaxy s3 running ClockWorkMod Recovery. I wanted to install CyanogenMod 10.1 but could not do so because I ran into a problem.

I had done exactly the way I was told: Copy CyanogenMod and Google Apps to the internal SD card, boot into recovery, wipe data, wipe cache partition, install zip from SD card, install zip from internal SD card, install CyanogenMod 10.1 RC5. However, it said "Install aborted." Help me, what do I need to do to make it install successfully?

I'm a complete noob, so please try your best to explain each step in as much detail as possible.

You have to be running jelly bean bootloader. Your Probly still on ics bootloader. You can install jellybean bootloader using Odin on your computer. Don't even try using Mobile Odin since it's not capable of flashing bootloader and causes problems. xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10 Nightly Builds for SGH-I747

I am running jellybean 4.1.1, why would I be running the ICS bootloader?

Doesn't mean that you are on updated bootloader. I was running stock jelly bean from international version s3 but it was still on ics bootloader. Had to manually flash bootloader. bootloader can only be flashed with Odin

My phone was running JB out of the box! Why would it have an ICS bootloader if it was never running ICS?!

Then why won't cyanogenmod install?

not sure. I haven't had CM on my phone in quite awhile. Have flashed Task 650 AOKP successfully and it requires the latest bootloader. He uses CM in this ROM and people who rooted before the 4.1.1 update had issues a few AOKP updates ago and had to update their bootloader
