CyanogenMod 6.1.1

We all do, :) - yeah it totally is awesome. Makes those stock evo owners a little jealous.

Haha it sure does.

I had a little bit of a hiccup last night, I tried to install that Swype Theme from another thread and I put the theme on my SD Card and my SD Card then became damaged, lost all my ****. Worst part is, it was a 16GB card, and now I had to go down to the stock 8GB card, lost all my photo's...****ty.

It won't download the mms?? Then when it does it won't play any with sound, won't play any that are animated, and any slide shows go like 300mph and close. Today I am going to flash cm again and try hand cent.

Anyone else had this problem? i am having this problem to. Anything that is a sound message won't play the sound or download.

BigRick,
This is my first time running a custom ROM and I have to say I like CM6 a lot better than the SuperSonic stock ROMs. Can you point us noobs to a step by step on how to get 4G running? That is really the only thing missing for me and would complete my EVO experience on CM6.

OR you can just install google voice (if its not already on your phone!)

i don't get why so many people are so armament about installing the apk for sprint visual voicemail when google voice is SUPERIOR. you even get a secondary number for free.

just my honest opinion.

@aimzmarie
You're dead on! I have always used the stock SuperSonic ROMs and it threw me a bit when I noticed that there was no VM app. I decided to give Google Voice a try and it really is simple to use. The only thing that wasn't expained was how to create a greeting message. Once you log on to google voice website it's all there. Can't believe I haven't been using this all along! Way better than YouMail and the stock VM.

I think it's better then stock but I love Youmail especially how it greets each caller by name that little touch of personalization is what won me over the Google voice mail.

That's true. I forgot about that little feature. However, they charge extra (or at least they use to) for voice to txt conversion, where google voice gives you that for free. I am one for trying them all before making a judgement, but everyone is different and will prefer different things. That the beauty of having so many options! I love Android!!

+1 So do I!:D

So i take it no one else has a issue with text messages that contain sound not downloading or playing? I sure would like to resolve this. Thanks

I've never really understood the need to send pictures or sounds in a txt message. I use txt messages for txt and everything else goes via email, but that's just me ;^)

I have a lot of friends that send me pictures and stuff via text messages. I look at them then forward them on. It is not a big deal, just something i miss having at the moment is all.

Anyone having a problem with conference calls? Second call never comes on when dialed.
I think I have the latest radios. I flashed back to a sense rom with rom manager and conference works fine.
Can someone give this a try??

Don't get it

I have been looking and looking for step by step instructions as to how to update CM. Every time I try to update, I end up screwing it up. I think I'm having trouble flashing the google apps over. I'm fairly naive to this stuff, but I did get it on the phone at one time. Again, step by step would be very much appreciated. I saw an earlier post that linked to the CM forums and it was not helpful. I'm looking for instructions an idiot (me) could follow, assuming said idiot knows nothing. (i.e. Saying "flash" means nothing to me. I need details on how to flash) Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe this is cheating, but i am brand new to this. I used Rom Manager which I found in the App Market. I did everything for me including adding the Google Apps.

How do I get favorites widget and fb contacts to sync.

First time rooting and thus rom is awesome.

The launcher app was replaced by another app. I had reflash due to not having access to my apps. How can I fix this next time?

Not sure about your 1st question as I do not use fb. However, your second question can easily be done by the following steps:

1. Touch the screen & tap custom shortcut
2. Tap Pick your activity
3. Tap Launcher Actions
4. Tap Open/Close Drawer
5. Tap O.K.
6. Now drag it where you would like it. ;)
