[CyanogenMod-7 ROM+KERNEL] OM-Mandylion.....01-12-2013..Update

Re: Om.......iho rom >>>>>

the new update no bootsound? try to enable bootsound but failed.

Did you use Jerry's install zip for the boot-sound? I was think about adding boot-sound but decide to make it the default ringtone instead. As you may have noticed my OM-IHO is not so much about theming beyond that which I have already done. Plus when I was looking into boot-sound, the sound did not laying during slash-boot-image and decide against it.

Re: Om.......iho rom >>>>>..........UPDATE!!!!

I am loving the smoothness and speed of this rom, thanks EnF78! I am having an issue with Titanium Backup restoring my apps. After I select batch, restore missing apps; it hangs forever without restoring. Is there a way I can just copy the apks and data from all of my apps to the sd-ext? Before I reformatted my ext2 partition to ext4, I did a backup of it on my pc. Can I copy/paste all of the files to the ext4 partition your rom is using?

Nevermind with this post. I've found that it is only a handful of apps that won't install using the "batch restore" option. I just deselected them from the list and install them one-by-one. Thanks.

For the record I really dislike Titanium backup, that is why I included Mybackup Root. Glad you like the ROM :)
Try using Mybackup Root I think you well like it.

Re: Om.......iho rom >>>>>..........updated 100% from source!!!!

An update is now up.

Some of you have asked about why I took the download links down. The reason is some of the files came from a different binary, that should not have been so to correct I took all the links down and did removed any leftover files over the last 3 month from my system.

So in a since OM has been rebuilt.

When I try to install the latest update in backside updater it force closes. I am running an old version of mandylion if it is relevant. Version included in screenshot.

Try turning your wifi on, sometime a poor data connection well cause problems with BacksideUpdater.

edit: Yeah there may be problem with that version of BacksideUpdater. Try this version and adb push to system.

Code:
[SIZE="3"]adb shell
system_rw
exit
adb push /path-to-newer/BacksideUpdater.apk /system/app/
adb reboot[/SIZE]

Using Terminal on the phone, place BacksideUpdater on root of sdcard.

Code:
[SIZE="3"]su
system_rw
cd /sdcard/
cp BacksideUpdater.apk /system/app/
reboot[/SIZE]

Then try everything again.

I think you're right. It says it it's up to date but it it's an old version.

Re: Om.......iho rom & kernel!!!! UPDATE

It may still say update to date, if it does just download and place on sdcard. Then us Backside Updater to install the rom per-the instillation instructions in the first and second post.

I successfully installed it by using the "Install other ROM or theme" feature in backside updater v3.3.

Re: Om.......iho rom & kernel!!!! UPDATE

Okay, it turns out there was an error in the online manifest file that would cause BacksideUpdater to FC or show that the rom was up-to-date. I edited the file to be inline with how I have the "ro.build.version.incremental in build.prop setup, so there should be no more error about older version being up-to-date.

Re: Om.......iho rom & kernel!!!! UPDATE

First off, let me say I love this rom. It's one of the smoothest roms I've used. That being said I am getting a really weird bug. I've gone to 3 different sites I use regularly and each time it's prompting me to download the iPhone version of apps instead of the android version. Am I the only one having this problem?

It's because of the about:debug User Agent which is set to iPhone to make it easier to download. To change it go into settings scroll to the bottom and set to Android, I made the User Agent visible for easier changing.
