You saw a lot of improvements to the Note 2 because you were no longer using Touchwiz and didn't have all the pre-loaded applications and services installed. I don't think you'll see the same type of improvements to the Moto G in terms of performance, but that's not to say it still wouldn't be worth installing Cyanogenmod. CM has a lot of features and other improvements that are not available in the stock Moto G, so if you really enjoyed the other aspects provided by CM then it might be a good idea to install it.Hello,

I love stock android, but I've had some great experience with Cyanogenmod on my Note 2. It really boosted the performance.
