So I have bee playing around with my Tmobile HTC One. I have a GPE 4.3 rom on it right now but I am curious about Cyanogenmod. What's the point to it if you have GPE? Is it worth the upgrade? if I use the installer, will I get cyanogenmod updates? When Cyanogenmod upgrades to a 4.4 base will I be able to properly use Google Wallet as tap to pay and the GEL and Google Now integration?

Thanks!

The CM Installer was removed from the Play Store recently :(
There's really no benefits to using Cyanogen over the GPE ROM. Also, I don't believe there are OTA updates for CyanogenMod so any update will have to be by flashing the newer ROM.

Basically, Cyanogenmod aims to give you more flexibility; it allows you to greater customize your phone. You can edit your home screen, lock screen, battery icons, center clock, etc. when using CM. Performance-wise, there isn't a noticeable difference between CM and GPE. I switch between CM and GPE, but tend to stay on CM for a longer time simply because of customization. Other than that, there isn't much benefit in switching.

I'm don't know if Google Wallet works in the current build of CM... But I'm pretty sure there's a way to have GEL and Google Now integration; you'd have to install a few APKs to get it working, though. :D

I recently installed cm 11 and noticed that there is no option to display battery percentage. Is it because it's still in beta? I noticed that there are a few things missing next to cm 10.2

They haven't added all the goodies to the ROM yet that's why your version is most likely an unofficial build like the Verizon version I'm running. Shouldn't be that much longer before we see some official builds.

I don't know about CM vs. GPE on a TMO HTC One, but on my Wifi Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 I did it to get rid of Samsung's cruft and improve security. It was well worth it, in that case. I'd do it to my TMO HTC Sensation 4G, for the same reasons and to get a more current version of the Android OS, except the process is fraught with opportunities to brick the device and I'd lose WiFi calling.
