hello all
i read this post every day to see the changes on the rom..... (still hopping for froyo to be rooted to jump in...)

just a few question for any one who can answer them.
1. for those who oc. is there a significant battery drain?
2. Are the speed really noticeable?
3. when you oc is it always oc even if the phone is not in use? or does it goes down?
4. what are the meaning of the test? (linpack? Neocore? fps2d? Quadrant? oc uc? d3x5t4r? ......)
5. every night when a new rom is release is it as simple to just hit update to update the rom or do we have to download the rom backup and then flash?

sorry for asking those question..........

lol still waiting on my turn to test a few

Did you wipe before flashing from the old kernel to the new one? I get about 2200 on quadrant overclocked with the newest snap

I did not wipe. But I just ran the Quadrant again. Now I get 1687@ 1190mhz? So I just need to get a class 6 sdcard now.

Darn... I need to install the newest Snap... I want to get 2200 Quadrant!

After this, the Evo just needs graphical performance boost. Hopefully they figure out how to overclock the Adreno GPU.

is it cyanogens or any other devs plan to work on the adreno gpu? I thought I read some where that it was the drivers for it that sucked.. I could be wrong, but it sure would be sweet to optimize our graphics :)

With the newest snap 7.1 do you HAVE to format your SD card? And how does it work if you keep installing the newest nightly? Does it overwrite it every time you update your phone?

So its My turn for a stupid question.. what is snap? Were do I get it? And do we just flash the zip?

And yes I just wiped dalvik and the regular cache. And installed rc2 right over my nightly. Its running great.

Snap v7.1 with ext2 partition gives a tremendous boost. Checkout my score beginning on page 134. I was in the 2600 range on Quadrant.

RC2 is pretty much all the nightlys rolled up, its the best place to start if your just getting into the nightlys....

on a second note im DL'ing snap 7 and will ble flashing shortly... i only have a stage 2 sandisk card so im not expecting a huge gain. will report back with gears, linpack, neocore, and quadrant here in a bit...

So with the official kernel released why cant 4g get up and running? Is cyan considering 4g proprietary code to sprint, so wont include it?

Are the 4g radio and hdmi kernel dependent?

Its all in the Source Code he's just gotta make it work... Technically Its still the first phone to have it all...

We'll see what he comes up with for RC3 Hopefully it will be full featured

4G isnt Released yet in my area in a mass sense so im fine for holding out
