Is there a way to stop the daily emails for subscribed threads?

Go to your Subscribed threads. Check the box next to Notification so that it selects all your threads. Go to the bottom and click on Selected Threads and update it to Through my control panel only.

Also, you can change your default behavior for this under your Settings, in General Settings..

I tried to do that for my instant emails for replies and topics but I'm still getting all the emails. How can it be fixed. When I go to my settings it says Control Panel Only but all the emails keep coming.

Did you do both the things I suggested? Changing the default in the Settings will only affect new subscriptions. Any old subscriptions you would still have to go back and change them under Subscribed threads and if you have multiple pages of subscribed threads, make sure you are getting them all. If you already did both though and are still getting emails, then maybe an admin can help you because that shouldn't be happening.
