Damaged sim slot?

So... I was trying to put in a micro SD card in and apparently did it wrong, because when I finally got it in, it read the sd card then said no sin found. Went to the Verizon store and because the phone is so new, the rep hadn't yet dealt with this issue so he didn't know how to fix it. They're sending me a replacement under manufacturer warranty, I hope I don't mess this up again.

Are they sending you a brand new phone or a refurb?

They said "it has been tested for quality to meet Verizon's standards", so a refurbished I would guess
