Why not? If there's a steady flow of defective devices, then whether that flow is big or small, the ones that flow in should be available several days later to flow out as refurbs.

my Samsung rep said to file with the carrier, there are no refurbished or remanufactured devices yet. so hopefully, it'll be a new one.

It's likely a piece of dust and or dirt. Gently tap the lens with your finger. I had the problem today. Lmk if it works.
