DAS BAMF Updates at XDA!!!

Yeah I was hitting refresh last night like a SOB lol. I ended up sticking with the FroYo Stripped 1.8 version with Matte HD V1 theme. I tried the GB Stripped 2.1 version but had a few minor bugs it seemed so came back to FroYo. Seems overall faster than GB IMO and plus I LOVE having Skype video calls!!

Do you have the link for Skype and the extras for 1.8? I was looking over at XDA last night but couldn't find it.

Thanks!

Since the official GB update is supposed to come with Skype support, can we expect working Skype apk for this ROM in near future?

i thought the kernel was set to "normal" without using the script.

i also use interactive x governor, like it alot.

i was wondering if the battsaver script was working well with gb (i have only used it on froyo bamf).

Could be, but when you go to emulator, do the su (enter) then type speedtweak.sh (enter) it tells you your phones current state, mine always said "Safe Mode", I then manually switched it to Normal, with the interactivex gov.

oh true

There are not too many mods yet for the 2.x versions (GB) yet of the BAMF roms, but with the Froyo versions the remix had a ton of mods and addons for the UI, which is the primary difference between the standard and remix versions.

FYI -- there are updates available for the Froyo versions as well, updated to 1.8 with the same toolkit enhancements -- still based off of MR1 it appears.

Is a mod an add on to the rom like a flashable patch. Or are they loaded in with each release of the rom?

Exactly, add ons are exactly that, they are added on to the rom.....think of the ROM as a stock car or a base to work with. The add ons are the after market parts to personalize your stock car. I currently have a FB mod, Battery Gauge Mod, and the black dialer mod on the 2.1REMIX MR2.5....there will be more to come. The Froyo ROMS from Das BAMF have a laundry list of add ons.... just flash 2.1REMIX you won't be sorry lol.....

where are you finding those patches? only one's i see in the 1st page of 2.1Remix are
Toolkit update
theme
rosie
lockscreen
netflix

or are you running them from previous versions ie (2.0.5 or .6)?

Last night I wiped data, cache, and Dalvik 3 times, then flashed BAMF GingerREMIX 2.1 and the MR2 radio, but I kept getting gapps and acore errors and it wouldn't sync anything. Well, not being one to give up and just revert back to Froyo, I was determined to try everything to get it to work. Downloaded and flashed MR2.5, still no luck. Wireless and 4G were running perfectly, but I couldn't send or receive calls. Double checked the MD5 on the mod, it was correct, so rebooted back into Clockwork, wiped data, cache, and Dalvik one more time, then flashed the mod again, BINGO!

Phone is working, 4G is damn near as good as my cable modem, and it runs smoooth!

Thanks Team BAMF!

Hey, SF DINC,

I noticed you're running the 3.0.1GB Test1 Kernel. I was wondering where you got it and what kind of battery life you're getting.

I flashed DasBAMF2.1REMIX last night and my battery life really stunk today in comparison to my previous Froyo ROM (Remix 1.7/4.4.7). In 8 hours, I went from a full charge down to 27%. In comparison, I'd be somewhere between 70-80% for the same amount of time with Remix 1.7/4.4.7.

Also, what "tweaks" do you have going that seem to help with battery life as well.

Thanks for your time.

Update: Just researched 3.0.1 GB Test1 Kernel and it turns out to be the one included in BAMf Ginger Remix 2.1... Guess I should have dug deeper in looking at my TB first.

With that said, anyone out there have any luck with leankernel 3.3.0 test version? Thinking of flashing it to see if there's any improvement to battery life.

Just transfer the zip to your phone's sd card and flash it through clockworkmod.
