DasBamf 2.1 Messages/Mail no contact pix?

running DasBamf 2.1, as stated above
(full data/dalvik/factory wipe 3 times before install)

here's the problem: my contact's picture won't show up in various applications
i have Facebook sync enabled/running

stock messages=no
stock mail=no
Gmail=yes
People=yes
Go SMS=yes

any idea on resolution--anyone else having this problem?

also, anyone else having a ridiculous amount of Force Closes on things like 'Google Music' or 'HTC DM' service? i've fixed permissions but just rebooted my phone 2 seconds ago & they keep popping up.

I would try wiping one more time and if that doesn't fix all your issues try downloading again and flash all over. I did flash for a few minutes before going to REMIX but I didn't use any of the listed applications so can't confirm if I had the same issue. Hope you get it worked out

oy. this thing has been running pretty well apart from these 2 issues (constant Force Closes & no contact pix)

ah well. looks like i've got my work cut out for me today.

will update once downloaded/ wiped/re-installed & setup.

may help. read through--apparently it's a google calendar sync issue that creates the FC's for alot of the framework processes (music, included)

and just in time--they just released 2.1 REMIX!
maybe this'll work out in my favor after all

and apparently, w/i that thread---the "no contact pix in messages" is a common problem.

Funny thing is how fast I can get my phone set up after wiping, last night I went out to dinner at BBW's with my oldest son just after flashing REMIX and had most everything set up by the time we left (I wasn't the best company but he played games)

i'm still getting the hang of it.

i'm not yet good enough with a Batch install using Titanium (& which order to allow apps to download or install them with TB first)

so i'm running about a 20 minute setup time for everything back to the way i like it. not great, but better than when i started out.


are you allowing apps to automatically redownload via google-market then restoring app data w/ TB, or restoring apps+appdata using TB?

I'm still using TB to restore app's and I'm not restoring data since I had a ton of issues since GB. And I only restore app's I use at least once a week the rest I still have backup if needed because some weeks seems I'm wiping the phone a few times.

You might want to try to fix permissions too .. that helps with alot of the FCs n maybe it doesn't count because i was only using it for a short time until i restored handcent but i was not having any problems seeing pics for the stock messages

wiped data, wiped dalvik, factory data/reset---all 3 times

now my contact pictures are there (well, sort of. some are--some aren't. hopefully it's just a sync issue--though the phone's been synced for a while now)

still FC'ing on Talk & Music fairly often.

if it happens two more times then i'll try 'fix permissions' on this Remix, too.
it didn't work on the 2.1 NTE, maybe it was just a fluke.
