data problems

If im by a tower my phone works great. Used to be when i was home id get a slow 3g signal but it would work. Now my data drops every minute or so. Have full bars. It acts like its transfering Data even when im not doing anything. Called sprint they wont fix it. Is there anyway to fix this problem.

Check the phone for system updates (PRL/Profile) and update if available. Regarding the data transferring when you are not doing anything, consider installing a data usage/monitor app to see what is consuming data in the background when you don't want it to. It could be a bad app or an app with advertisements/location monitoring syncing with a server, which could be bad.

If still not improvement and/or data problems consider a factory reset (after a backup of your data/text/calls/etc.) and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then its a Sprint Network issue in your area.
 
I just had same problem with mine turned out to be bad radio/antenna in the phone they sent me a new one no problem.

My first LG OG had the same problem, took it back 3 days later and it exchanged it for another LG OG and hadn't had a problem since. Well, except for sprint sucking even in their "excellent coverage" areas. Useless they are. One of the worst by far and I can't wait to get out of the contract.

Yeah thats a idea. But my back glass on my phone cracked so id have to go through insurance and pay the deductible to get a new one. Its bull**** cause i didnt drop the phone. Sprint wont even look at it because of that. When im home i cant even do any updates. Thats how ****ed the signal is. Its crazy.

How long have you had yours I had mine a Lil over a month and set it down one day and when picked it back up there was a crack across the screen just one mind you and screen wouldn't work so after 4 calls to customer care and hours on the phone I eventually got them to do an advance exchange even though the screen was cracked and didn't cost me a dime outta pocket

I am on my 3rd OG though because the second one they sent me had a bad radio /antenna in it and they sent me another and have had no problems with it since

Since august 1st. So roughly 2 months. Sprint told me to call lg because it might be a defect in the manufacturing and build of the phone. If i gotta pay a $200 deductible ill just drop sprint all together and go get a phone with at&t or verizon. I really dont want to because when i have a good signal this phone is a beast. But im pretty tired of sprint at this point.
