Data push not working and can't check account

I've found similar posts about this problem, except for the Data push check box, but no solutions that have worked. My email is not automatically syncing, I've checked the Battery saver options based on other posts I've seen here. My Data push says it's set for no accounts, but when I try to change it, I can't. My Mac account is listed, but the check box is greyed out, and I can't change it. I don't have the Battery saver on, I've disabled all Smart Actions. Any suggestions? It's affecting my gmail account also, which isn't even listed under the Data push category, but up until this morning, they were pushing through with no problem.

ETA: Forgot to add, in my Inbox, in the upper right corner of the button with the plus sign for creating new messages, there's a little blue circle with the number 1 in it. That showed up the same time the data push stopped working.
