Data usage gone up since using Nougat

Hi there, this is my first post.

Have some data usage settings been changed from Marshmallow because ever since upgrading to Nougat my data usage has nearly doubled. As you can see from the attached image it has increased from January and for this month I've used over 700mb. There maybe some settings I'm unaware of, unfortunately I can't check my device as I've literally just upgraded to a Galaxy S8

I'm using the s7 edge right now and can't say I've seen increased data usage from Marshmallow to Nougat.

Try looking st your Data Usage Settings to see if a particular app / service is using more data.

As for preference settings I find my way round these by delving into them and using a Google Search can be very beneficial.

In the setting data usage on nougat should be an option to activate data saver. It restricts apps from running in the background unless you are using a specific application.
Try that and see if it helps.
