I had the droid razor for a little while and it had a native data usage app. Does anyone know of a widget that I could use with the nexus?

Where is the "widget" for My Verizon??? I do not see one in the Widgets drawer.

Go to market -> Search for My Verizon --> Choose My Verizon for Galaxy Nexus

There should be an update available for it. Install it, and reboot your handset. Then the widget should be available.

Im suprised about the people that would complain that the Nexus has the Verizon app and Back Up Assistant. I dont use the BUA, but the Data Widget is an awesome feature to have. I will approve of that Preloaded app :)

The lack of choice is what I think upsets people. I have a Verizon Xoom that has nothing from Verizon on it and I've downloaded and use my Verizon.

If I had an unlimited data plan I wouldn't have it though and be irritated if I couldn't remove it.

It's pretty pointless now that data usage is built into ICS. Unless you really have a burning need to immediately see your usage on your home screen for some reason..

It's nice to see because I don't have the unlimited data plan... plus I don't want to go over or they'll charge you

Im suprised this thread got through like 7 posts without this being stated.

ICS' native Data usage charts > all of the other choices on the market. Period. You can set a data warning level that, upon reached, will alert you that you are close to reaching your limit, and you can set a "killswitch" point that your data will be shut off completely until the start of your new month. It tells you what apps are using data, AND how much data they have used, AND you can set which days of the month your cycles start and end on. You cant get any better than that.

Of course when it comes down to it, verizon is doing to use their own numbers to charge your data plan, so having the my verizon app is always a good choice as well to compare and contrast what your phone is telling you that you are using compared to what verizon says. But if you are really worried about that, set your "killswitch" limit to a little bit underneath your monthly data allowance.

I'd be curious of comparisons between the my verizon app and the phones recorded data usage from members here...

Also if you flash a new ROM the counter would reset, but of course the my Verizon widget wouldn't
