data usage

I have about 13 days to go on my billing cycle....I have used 731 megs so far

Is this normal? When at home, I am always on wifi.

I don't think I was ripping that many megs through the system. If I was on att data plan capped at 200 mb, I'd be hosed.

Are most of you guys that high in usage?

I've been close to a gig before even though I'm on WiFi here at home, I wouldn't say it's completely unusual. As long as you're not coming close to your 5GB "limit"

i was at big red today because my phone froze after the update and i asked about the limit and they said there is no such thing. that they have seen people using near 20gb before

I can't for the life of me figger out how captivate/iphone (any smartphone) users on att get by with the 200 mb cap. I guess they get by by paying thru their @$$ in overage fees

I on my blackberry of all things used about 6 to 14 gigs a month. Wifi helped lower me allot. This month I used 448754 but last month I used 9.6 gigs lol. Btw you didn't block your number the second time it pops up. Just a head up

That's why I put limit in quotes. Technically it's there, but they never enforce it.

I regularly use over 1 gb with just my normal use of my phone. I'm not even streaming video or music more than two or three times a month. I considered the $15 plan verizon started offering for all of 5 minutes, because I knew I couldn't keep my data usage that low.

I doubt if being rooted has anything to do with data usage.
I monitor my data by constantly opening my verizon app.
Have you tried searching the market?

If I'm going to pay $30 a month for data, I'm going to use it. I'm at 1.3 gb with 13 days left in my billing cycle. That is with WiFi at home. I tether on occasion and pulled down a couple roms. I think I average around 2gb a month.

I am using dats like crazy dont teather that often. I rooted using the one click then imstalled the wireless teather on same page. Its seems I almost used like 400 mb in three days. What is causing this

i totaly agree, i dont even give back my 3d glasses when i go to a 3d movie, i paid for dant it, its mine.
