Data Usage

in 8 days I used 8GB. I don't have internet access at work so during my breaks I watch TV, HBO go and netflix on my Ipad. Once the mobile hotspot is gone my GB's will be going down because I wont be paying extra for that service.

I don't get even close to double digits in data, but I'm noticing now that I have a phone and a connection that is actually capable of doing almost the same stuff as my computer I don't even get on the computer when I'm at home unless I absolutely positively need to. It's so much easier to just grab my phone.

The only reason I end up with about 5GB instead of 10 or more is because I turn on WiFi while I'm at home since I have 20Mbps internet at home.

I'm the complete opposite - if I'm at home and wanna stream video/music or do anything beyond, say, posting to Twitter or checking email, I jump on my laptop. I also turn wifi on while at home. Maybe this would change if I were in a 4G area? But yeah, here we are three weeks into my billing cycle and I haven't even hit 1gb. :p

15gb with 22 days left in cycle but I won't use much when I get home in a day . I work 3 week away from home so I use a lot data for 3 weeks then hardly any for 3weeks.

Hehe, I'm making sure to use the phone and the LTE network to it's full potential, plus I'm one who has slower internet than LTE, I dont consider 13GB bad for LTE maybe on 3G I could see it but since LTE is a whole lot faster it should be able to handle a bigger network load. (In my opinion)

I only have faster internet than LTE when it comes to the location of my house. I get LTE and decent speeds at home 5Mbps-7Mbps down, but not as fast as my home internet. When I am out and about I get faster than 20Mbps so I never use WiFi beyond my house.

Well I'm staring at a computer all day when I'm at work, so I really don't like being tied to my laptop when I'm at home. I used to be on my computer all the time at home, but now that my living is made on a computer I usually just get on the boards or I may get on YouTube on my phone when I'm at home.

That part I understand - I sit in front of a computer for work all day, too. There are just certain things I'd rather do on a 13" screen than a 4.3" one, if the option's there. I am considering leaving the laptop behind when I go on vacation in a few weeks, though. Wonder how much of a spike that'll cause.

For me, it depends on what I'm doing. I have a desktop computer that use as my primary computer at home, as well as a laptop that I tote around between home and work. So...if I don't feel like getting off of the couch or getting the laptop out and firing it up (i.e. I'm feeling lazy), and I just want to check something online, I'm definitely just picking up my Thunderbolt and using it. If my laptop was usually unpacked and already sitting there fired up and ready to use...i'd probably pick that up instead, but I'm not even sure about that.

For anything more robust than that, I'm getting my lazy but off of the couch and sitting at my desk (which is still in eye-shot of my television) and using the computer (w/ dual 19" screens).

My Internet connection at home is faster than 4G, although not at work. I leave wifi on, however, primarily because it eats the battery less than running on 4G does.

30 GB can be easily be obtainable with Netflix, if the standard movie is 2GB, it'll only take 15Movies to get that much.
Which can be a movie a day.. I see this possible..

You think there is a large pool of people, that consistently watch one movie per day...ON THEIR PHONE?!? I don't watch even one movie per WEEK on my TV, much less one per day on my PHONE.

I must be doing something wrong, because I don't have anywhere NEAR that much free time...

0.3 GB w/ 5 days left on my cycle
I use wifi almost constantly for battery life, and dont get service at work.

On my DX i was using almost 3gb

I used 52.90 GB for the months of April and may on WiFi and 2.6 GB for the same months on the network, I know I have a problem so I try to be considerate.
I use Tasker to automate my WiFi.

I've used at least 5 GB every month since buying my Thunderbolt. One month I went over 15 GB because I tethered for 2 days. Why would you have a smartphone and unlimited data and use less than a GB a month? You guys should downgrade and save money. ;)

1.5 gb here. I use WIFI a lot. Do not watch movies, hate to do that with small screens. As I said before, I use my 55' Samsumg 3D tv for that. :)

I figure Netflix will up my usage to over 5gb/month when it becomes available. Otherwise I would downgrade to the 2gb/month data plan assuming the 1.6gb/month stays constant.

Easy 10gb a month, I listen to siriusxm with Bluetooth headset, and I heart radio. Play YouTube, watch videos on websites, twitter, Facebook, tumblr, and hbo go. I don't use the WiFi in my house because I have 4g and use it a lot.

I'm up to 6GB, on pace for over 10GB thus month.

After using the phone for a month now, verizon reports my data usage at 13GB no tethering just watching youtube videos and Ustream.
I can only imagine more once the thunderbolt officially supports netflix.

What's your data usage at?

Well, it's 75mb/$10, so if you use less than 150mb, then it would be worth it to get the lesser plan on the feature phone. 150mb is really not that much of data...

of course, it's not even available for any current smartphones, so it's a moot point anyways.
