I used to have data warning set that also showed on locked screen. However, since updating to the new Android version 12 SKQ1.211019.001 I can't seem to find the option to set it up again. I've tried searching from "data warning" to "billing cycle", went through all settings, etc, but still haven't found a way to set it up. Has this tool been removed from the new Android version?

Welcome to Android Central.

It's odd that they would remove that but it could be possible I suppose. It would have been helpful if we knew what device you have, on my Samsung this under Data Usage, which is where I would imagine it being on every device. I think where you missed the search was adding the extra word, warning, just try data. Then if you see anything that says, usage, because that is what you're looking for, try that.

If it turns out that this is truly related to Android 12 we have an Android 12 forum where this question could be put before other Android 12 users. Or if we knew what device you have there may be a forum for that here as well. Either way with more information there are more options.

Let us know what device you have?

We can see what the moderators say about moving this to A12 threads, @B. Diddy and @mustang7757?

Sorry, it took me a while to find my post again. Account created now.

Under Data Usage I can see how much I've used throughout the month on each app. But not a total, and my monthly allowance restarts on the 25th of each month, so also not accurate. On the previous version I had on the main screen total used since the 25th, and then would also receive a warning when on my last gb.

My phone is Poco X3 NFC, and version says MIUI Global 13.0.2 Stable. Hope this helps.

That was difficult to find. I'm sure it was easier before.

Ignore the:
Settings - Sim / Networks
or
Connections & Sharing -- Data Usage (daily or monthly usage displayed only)

Go to the Security APP and open.

At the bottom there's a Data Usage button (1 of 9).

When you open that, there's also a cog wheel upper right that takes you to what looks like a screen from Settings.

So there's possibly a more direct way. Who knows?

ADDED : I don't see a way to have a Lock Screen data warning on my Poco F2 Pro, unless maybe you have a network / carrier version of the X3 Pro (1 or 2 UK carriers have Xiaomi devices).

Thanks for taking your time to check.
I have now set up data usage and plan, hopefully the warnings will come up.

I found this image on google that shows how it used to be.
Was quite helpful and easy to know how much data I had remaining for the month.
