de-bloated and de-binged, still get OTA update?

Okay, so today was a very productive day for me. I rooted my fascinate, debloated, and de-binged. Now, my question is, since I de-bloated and de-binged(by renaming the .apk files by putting ".old" at the end of the .apk) will I still get an ota update from Verizon when they finally decide to let it out for us? I'm on stock EA28 right now. Lame, I know. But its just something that has been bugging me. I have a feeling that I still will receive the ota update, but I just want to make sure by asking the professionals.

Nope, the update is gonna go looking for all of the files you debloated, and fail when you don't have them. It's fine, you'll be able to odin the stock when it shows up if you insist on having it.

I have a question. I am currently running the debloated/deoxed froyo droidx package. Why would I even want the over the air update? I mean whats the point? My phone working like a breeze, have wireless tether, good battery life,email finally working, able to do screenshots, titanium backup pro. (gps still sucks) why bother download? what would I get that I dont have now?

Upgraded bloatware and improved driver ruin. They may have upgraded their media sync to suck more. Who wouldn't want it LOL.

Thats what I figured. maybe the gps will take 15 minutes instead of the 10 it takes now with the new, wonderful verizon update. LOL . thanks

New GPS was actually the only thing that came out of DL09 that didn't perform various criminal pleasures on goats for me.

I could sure use another round of requests to sign up for visual voicemail. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

I know its ridiculous for me to have the stock updates that Verizon sends out, but I don't have windows on my Mac anymore and I don't really plan on flashing roms anymore because all it does is get me in trouble. My parents get mad at me, and my girlfriend does too. I decided to quit while I was ahead. So its stock. With some root. Lol, I'm such a loser. I might go to my friend's house sometime and use his pc when we're both on a flashing spree and both flash custom roms and have a jolly-good time. Then when I get ready for a new one I'll just use his computer again. He already has Odin on it. I might as well use that to my advantage.

We don't drink, but perhaps I can work something out with him.
He currently has an iPhone 3G(s) that he's been Jailbreaking and whatnot. But he's wanting to switch to android. So maybe I can teach him a thing or two before he gets one.
