I have read at several URLs - a few below - where this issue regarding the Speed Dial screen annoyance has been discussed but NO SOLUTION given yet...

It seems there is a challenge in the Android OS itself that this feature has been tied to the recent calls, instead of keeping it to specific favourite numbers.
Till Android developers don't address it, it seems the issue - that any call made, or received gets added to this speed dial screen - is not going to go away.
Only if someone has been able to finally solve this issue of deactivating the recent calls getting added to Speed Dial screen - may you please respond on this thread... Thanks
