Dead nexus 4 screen

Unpacked my brand new nexus 4 and used it for 30 minutes and after that it became fully blank. Attached is the image of what i see. Get sound from the device when i press the volume rocker though. Help would be appreciated....Thank you !!

Yikes... When you reboot the phone do you get a splash screen?

If after you reboot the phone you still experience the same problem, then contact Google for a RMA.

press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds

That was the key for me. I still do not understand what happens. I felt it was tied to charging. Seemed like it caused it to lock it and holding the power button long enough was the only thing that woke it up. Mine was brand new also.

yes i do get a black screen that splashes....and some white on the corners

tried it too....no hope
