I have one for yah. Set a pattern lock screen. Lock the phone and enter in the wrong pattern. Let me know what happens :-)

OMG...

I did the wrong pattern and my dog exploded!

WTF man?

LOL - yea - phone crashes and rebooted back to the lock screen.

Hmm, my WiFi seems to be working properly. My only suggestion to you at this point would be to reflash nROM. Keep me posted.

It's all good now. Thanks. Now, I've went into wireless tethering and it says my device is not supported? It worked in thunderom.

Nevermind. I'm a durp.

That's my punishment system for "sloppy" fingers.

I blame exhaustion due to schoolwork and the expectations here. Take your time with it buddy, don't think there is a rush on this end for ROM updates.

EDIT:
So I just re-read what I quoted and what I wrote made no sense. Go me for being mega lame. I actually read that as you [Nick7] knew what you broke and have been meaning to see how you'd fix it. I've thought about going into the 1.4 zip file and seeing what I could figure out.

It's all good in the hood.

Okay guys. Totally rebuild nROM from scratch. It was getting a little messy. v1.5 will have some new treats in it and will run a lot smoother. No more failed reboots on flash.

And if you were wondering about the lockscreen bug, it is caused by reboot mod. So if you don't want the trade off, I'll provide a flashable zip that will remove reboot mod and fix the lockscreen.

So the reboot mod is the one that brings up the reboot menu when you power down? Probably a memory overwrite; guess when we get AOSP up and running, compiling the OS will be pretty trivial and you can add whatever features you want as it won't be a mod, it'll be straight source code. (I could be way off base with that).

From the sounds of it though, LEGO ROM will have the same issue?

Looking forward to the new version of nROM.

Correct.

Okay, v1.4.5 out. A ton of under the hood improvements along with some goodies. Check out that changelog.
-I didn't get around to theming the dialer, but I am looking for a good theme to use.
-Power control in notification window is a WIP as well.

If your wireless tether force closes uninstall it and reinstall it from the market (search wireless tether).

Oops! looks like I removed visual voice mail on accident. What a doozy! Pick up the apk attached to this post or on the OP.

Not going to lie, totally stoked that you forgot that, I use Google Voice anyway and didn't want that process starting up when the phone boots. Will be important when I flash my wife's phone with 1.4.5, she hasn't embraced Google Voice yet, I know, lame.

Good job on 1.4.5!

Nick, whens 1.5 out?

When I complete "power control in notification window" mod. God that needs a shorter name. Oh yeah and theming the dialer.

Thanks :) Hmm, maybe I'll just leave it out then and have it available on OP.

Upgraded from 1.4 -> 1.4.5

Just flashed the zip from recovery after I did a nandroid backup

Booted up fine - no issues - looks good!

That Lego ROM idea also is a very cool ROM thread!

hey dude just loaded rom and love the interface but i does need some work did a quadrant test and it is only 480 not to impressive but keep working think it has some great potential how about a custom boot image some thing creative other than just the n1 not to flashy

Did you change your kernel and OC or flash any build.prop mods?

Read this:

So what's this mean? JIT and Stagefright give artificially inflated benchmark scores that don't translate into real-life performance increases?

Benchmarks give a good estimate of a phone's performance but as you said, they can be inflated. For example, an Optimus running nROM does not perform more than twice as well as a stock Optimus, but the benchmarks say otherwise. I would say tweaks like stagefright do inflate benchmark scores. JIT compilation on the other hand does speed up the phone a significant amount.

And here is a screenshot of a quadrant score I got in an earlier version of nROM

Sorry but I prefer stability and snappiness over benchmark scores.
But as steindog99 said, if you really want those high benchmark score download setCPU and the deluxe build.prop edit package from the LEGO ROM thread.

I mainly just put that cause the guy wasn't to tasteful in his "critique" of your ROM....and seemed all he wanted was benchmarks...
