ARCHIVED: [DEAD ROM]The Scott Pilgrim ROM (CM7 Gingerbread, Zefie Edition)

aosp comes off as someone who isn't into sharing, i don't see a github for his work and there is always a change log missing with his releases. I think he takes a lot from other rom developers and incorporates it to his aospcmod rom without giving proper credit. His posse usually will reply with something like "android is apache licensed, therefore not sharing the source is ok." i very much doubt you'll get a reply from him.

+1

check out his kernel source, it opens a 404 on git! LOL

I'm not sure why yet, but after 3 compiles there is no product being made. It might take me awhile to figure it out, but I am working on it. I'm still new to this.

The problem is that there is no thundec product folder and no zip file created. I found source I had before the changes were made and trying that. However, I had made changes to it as well trying to remove some CM stuff. We'll see how it goes.

Linux: Debian Squeeze

Linux: Debian Squeeze will run on this Rom with Xonia Kernel. Using LDXE and VNC to access.

The internet works, sound works, and about to see if i can watch videos... i wonder if hulu works ...

+1 to This authors hardwork.

Edit: i only used a pc to load Xonia. Everything else from Terminal on phone.
Does this deserve me creating a walk through? It took me a looong time to find a combination to make it work, is there an interest out there to warrant my time in making one?

This is zefie's source before the changes were made :)

I actually have source from the beginning of April that I'm working with. Making a couple of changes to the android default xml file to bring it up to date with CM sources.

Are you able fix the Bluetooth once you bring it up to date?

I'm really not sure. I have never fixed any issues before, only compiled source. Once this gets completed I will put it up for testing. Then we will be able to see what is or isn't working and go from there. I'm pretty sure that just compiling it again will not fix it, but we shall see. Right now I have to wait until I get home to finishing syncing with the code, then I will compile tonight sometime.

Does anyone know what else isn't working correctly? I know there was an issue tracker somewhere, but I am not sure where or if it is even up to date at all. I don't use everything on the phone, so I have no idea if things work or not.

Mainly bt which partially works and wifi AP. Some small stability issues. Next time I can I will run a logcat and get some info on why the os is resetting. Happens I'd say weekly for me. Sometimes the KB will crash. As I remember more ill update this post

Issue tracker has most if not everything

aosp has been on android vaca for about two weeks now, and he gives credit to all of the google asop team and all of the cyanogenmod team directly in the title of his ROMs - ie, aospCMod.

aosp was alone for months in providing nearly nightly GB AOSP based ROMs for the Hero CDMA - which is why he has such a devoted posse. For a while he was the only dev actively working the OV as well - and again gives credit to all of the google asop team and all of the CyanogenMod team directly in the title of his ROMs - ie, aospCMod.

aosp ROMs meet normal licensing standards for public release, else XDA and other forums would not allow them to be posted.

cheers

ROM Flash Trouble

Zefie was very clear. Do not unzip. Load the debug zip, gapps zip, and current nightly still wrapped on the root of the sd. wipe data cache flash debug, nightly, then gaps and reboot.

Well my initial problem was trying to use ROM Manager in the first place. Buddy of mine helped me flash Xionia Clockwork to flash the zips from my SD card. I was having trouble flashing bc to flash Xionia I WAS supposed to unzip, to flash this ROM I wasn't supposed to. I know I'm a newbie but thanks so much you brilliant and kind folks. Sorry and thanks guys...
