Dead screen, trying to backup but I have a password lock. How to unlock/ remove the password?

I dropped my phone and the screen broke, thus causing it to be dead. However, the phone seems to still work, I try to back it up on my computer but it says that the phone has to be unlocked first. How can I do this? Thank you.

Use usb otg to connect an external keyboard and mouse

As a matter of fact I did but the OTG I had doesn't work when having my USB mouse and HDMI connected to the TV added simultaneously...

Bring your phone to any technical knowledge person. Easy to do thing is recovering.

I dont have an HDMI to VGA cable yet. People say I have to plug in the different parts at the right order but I've been messing around and haven't had any luck. Is this a power issue?
