You have a nicely customized phone now. Looks great. The only advice I have is to ditch the Task Killer. Just my opinion though. :p

Pssh....if anything get MORE task killers!!! lol j/k but seriously though task killers are awesome and I still fail to see why people are so against them. Yes....it is not NECESSARY to use a task killer, then again its also not necessary to pull out an old broken/rotted tooth....in the end if it helps though why wouldn't you? I can kinda see from a devs point of view because killing a task in the middle of it is usually not a great idea and could cause issues with certain things. That aside there is no reason you shouldn't use a task killer. Helps keep phone quick and snappy by getting rid of useless stuff running in the background (yes I played angry birds 2 days ago and might play it again sometime in the next week....that doesn't mean I want it running until then). The next argument I'm sure will be "well it doesn't use that much cpu or battery". Well in my opinion any use by something I don't want running is too much and while that statement might be true for cpu usage I have noticed a large decline in battery life when leaving apps running in the background.

In short "Long Live Task Killers!"

Edit: Oh and the built in task killer is garbage....people always say to just use the built in one but I'm far too lazy to go into each individual app and kill it.

Tweaked Bootanimations

I brought these over from a thread I had started a bit ago.

I played around and tweaked some pre-made bootanimations from XDA member optmsprim2.

I shortened them and changed the screen size so that they run better for the Optimus s.

Nothing real fancy here, but very simple and smooth.

1. Make a Nand backup (if you want to)
2. Just flash in recovery, no need to wipe anything.

With permission to share, here you go:

Files

Android-blue-boot.zip
Andrioid-red-boot.zip
Android-green-boot.zip
Android-loading-boot.zip --- I got this from UOT kitchen

If you want the stock ANDROID boot animation back, flash Delete-boot.zip

I will add the Reborn bootanimation soon!!

Hey guys & ladies, I'm running the Reborn ROM with the optGREEN THEME, obviously... I've got my girlfriend's phone running Reborn too, however she's using the soft TOUCH THEME. I have the ANDROID green boot to go along with the optiGREEN THEME. My girlfriend likes how it looks and wants to know if u wouldn't mind making an ANDROID pink boot to go along with the soft TOUCH THEME. What do u think?

Uh I'm no moderator but I think I speak for us all when I say in the future PLEASE do not quote the first post....its GIANT. No harm done so no worries...just something to keep in mind.

AHH, the Task Killer Debate!!! Well we won't do that here.

But I will respond and clarify,

I used a Task Killer for about a week when I first got my android because I thought it was utterly necessary, and I used it WRONG. I admit that!! I killed everything all the time thinking I was going to see stellar battery life. Killing apps and having them restart automatically ate the battery up bad (obviously). I uninstalled it and never looked back.

So, my point is this, if you like them, use them. But use them the right way or they will render bad results.
And don't complain about bad battery life on Reborn ROM if you are using a Task Killers. Try uninstalling the TK first. But that is just my humble opinion.

For me, I have found that I don't need one at all. Phone is still "quick and snappy". Battery life is good.
Haven't used anything related to a Task Killer in 6 Months and don't plan on changing that.

Nice Rant Though!!! ;)

SoftTouch theme, pink dialer, Beautiful Widgets clock, and a dock I found somewhere online (LauncherProPlus). Also, added the pink swype!

Hate to burst your bubble but including LauncherProPlus is illegal. The free LauncherPro is fine though.

Edit: The Beautiful Widgets clock is also illegal to share, as its part of a paid app. I think there is a free alternative though.

Edit 2: I hope you didn't include a Swype APK, as that is also illegal.

Edit 3: Please disregard all of the above text as I failed to actually realize that you posted a screenshot and not a zip file. I are not smart :p

You can flash themes just as you would flash a ROM.

You will reboot into recovery and choose the "flash zip" option. Locate the zip file on your sd card and click menu button to choose, then menu button again to flash. Theme/ROM/whatever will install and let you know when complete. Choose reboot system from main menu when completed.

LOL, had me freaking out there for a second! Just trying to show off how good the theme/keyboard/dialer looks all together! (And it's not as sickly sweet as I bet you all imagined lol)
