December Security Update?

I'm waiting for the update to add functionality to the Pixel Stand (2nd generation). I'm good with everything else. FPS has been good. In my area 5G has been good. My P6Pro has been solid with both my WiFi and cell tower reception. I'm fortunate to be in the Atlanta, GA area.

What functions will the update add?

Personally I never cared about fast charging. Slow charging is better for battery longevity too. My Pixel 5 battery last almost 2 days for me. I drop it on my Pixel stand (Gen1) at night and pull it off in the morning fully charged. I suppose some folks need a fast top-off before traveling or going out for the night, but I'm guessing most folks just want it because its there, not because they need it.

Especially with a battery with decent life, even from people on the lower side of the duration. Charging overnight has always been my method.

Google needs to get it together with the connectivity issues. Have literally not have service all week without Wi-Fi. It's really starting to get frustrating . On a side note magic eraser works really well for removing info from screen shots. No more having to blur or scribble them out . Need google to come up with a fix asap.Screenshot_20211219-192203~2.jpg

I use Magic Eraser to redact all sorts of info.
I even posted a thread about using Magic Eraser to redact personal information or any other text you don't want others to see.

You mean all updated at same time then , No.

No. I mean not all can be updated....period. I'm sending one back in a few hours when I make the two hour drive to the UPS store to drop off a S21U that cannot/will not accept an update. Samsung connected to the phone yesterday and after some time, told me it is screwed up and return for an exchange. I am returning, but not for an exchange; refund.
Between Google not delivering and Samsung not being updated (infamous Lemon), kind of burned out on getting a new phone. Will hang around with a well working 4XL and follow the P6P and see if the note problems get fixed...or wait till a P7P is released.

One suggestion on Reddit is to join the beta for carrier services and updating it. It seems to have worked for people both in Europe and the USA

at this point Google should just hold off on the December updates....get it right and make them bullet proof then wait fir the January update schedule to release it.

Or just release the security patches now and do a massive OS update for the January release.

It would appear that they have halted the update and just not announced it. Has anyone received it since the people who got it within the first couple of days?

What security patch was it stuck at?

I have not gotten the latest update on my P6P on Google Fi. Never recall this happening on P1-P5. I might have mentioned this somewhere else, not sure, while on the phone with Google Fi support the other day I was told they could not get to my account because their system had not finished updating yet.

Google, IMO, has been off their game since the Pixel 6 launch. Some of the mess is probably due to the Pandemic.

If not, it's the excuse that will be used. Convenient!

Nothing here on my Pixel 6 Pro unlocked from Google using on TMobile

Verizon has posted the pixel 6 December update info on their website. Hopefully that's an indication it will be going OTA real soon.
