Got my 6 Pro yesterday, didn't want to form any opinion of the battery on day 1 on its first charge, especially with the download/installation/configuration of all of my apps.
Today decided to torture it, used it nearly all day for youtube, gaming, speed testing, navigation, browsing, testing photos/video, etc.
Left the screen running on variable refresh, adaptive brightness.
WiFi, 5G both enabled though I was on WiFi for all but a couple of hours.
Bluetooth on and connected to my smartwatch and earbuds. And the car when driving (with navigation as well).
Auto rotation set up to monitor face as I found that to have been a great addition when toying around with the phone in bed - I suspect that has to add to the battery drain.
Started the day with no apps open, and never actually closed a single one other than navigation (Waze) when I was ready to move on to another thing.
Given that phones tend to gauge battery better after a few cycles, and Google's ML is really good about optimizing, I'm very, very pleased with this so far.
Also, not a single issue or hiccup. And coming from Samsung S20 FE which also used an optical scanner, the Pixel's does seem to be a
little faster, but a
lot more reliable.
