Decided NOT to pull the trigger

My battery life is not that bad, like some others have said. I have been on a bunch today, changing things, downloading, deleting, etc. Overall, not really that bad. I really love this phone!

I'm going to tell you that was probably the best move, battery tech needs to catch up... until then it isnt worth it. I brought mine back today.. and I am very relieved.

For now I am going to remain on the sidelines and watch the game unfold.

This is what I am doing, I dial *#*#4636#*#* and put it in 3g mode when I am not using it that much. When I wanna use it and need speed I will dial that code again and go to phone info and switch it to 4g.

Doing that when the phone is in standby it does not eat up battery like it does while stand by in 4g. Set it to CDMA auto (PRL) that way it works like a normal 3g phone. I have had it off charge for 2 hours and my battery is still at 90% I used it a little bit too.

I think a toggle switch will do wonders for this phone.

naa i didnt forget the issues the whole os was junk too....i wouldnt even have this storm 1 if that wasnt fixed..my point is why go thru that chit again when it should be figured out from anew and not need 1000's of personal testers

I honestly think the Storm people forgot the battery consumption issues Storm 1 had at launch... o.O
I'm pretty sure it's not so much 'forgetting' as remembering 'Oh god, this is getting to be just like the Storm 1, this can't be good.'

It doesn't seem that unreasonable to me to work out battery issues *before* releasing it, after all, it was delayed in the first place. HTC should know by now, 'Hey, everyone thinks our phones our great but they have so-so battery life, maybe we should make a concerted effort to fix that next time around'.
