Decided on trying Verizon messages

So far so good. Very customizable!
Had a problem with Textra receiving pics.

I liked VZ messages+ also and used it for a long time till I switched over to Textra and haven't had any reason to switch back because I have been very pleased with Textra

Go to settings, MMS and change what I have checked to system in textra. I had same issue and that fixed it. Might fix yours to.

I like VZ Message just because I can also text from my tablet. All texts and calls are synced up between phone and tablet. Pretty convenient.

I tried a few, including Verizon Messages, and Textra. Preferred the Verizon app in the end.

I do like the capability of texting from tablet and the back up Verizon messages does, but I find it to bulky, a lot of features I don't want or need. Textra provides texting with style and isn't bloated, and just plain works. Verizon loves to add a lot of bloat to their services.

Agree. Total loaded with usless stuff. The sync between tablet and phone works perfect though. Only reason I'm sticking with it.

Had the same issue after updating 7.0. Textra sent a text letting me know
