Decisions Decisions - Note8 & S9+

Given the camara issues and video playback issues being complained about with the S9+, I'd probably go for the Note 8 if I had to pick one or the other today. Since I already have a Note 8, I'm just waiting for the Note 9. I hope by then Samsung is able to address "black crush" , soft photos, lens flare, and over processed portraits (to the extent that these issues exist and can be addressed).

I am sure it will be fixed with software updates...But not all s9+ owners have this problem...Every product that is manufactured in millions have 0.5 to 1% defect rates...Some are just software thanx to service providers who modify the software....

I bet all S9+ owners do have these problems, but may not notice or may not care. Many of the issues have been reproduceable across handsets when people have taken the time for critical analysis. There are also people who feel the tradeoffs are acceptable, or are willing to wait for fixes. I haven't seen anyone who did not see the black crush on their S9+ under the test conditions shown, and the loss of detail in low light pictures seems pretty universally reproduceable across S9+'s as well.

$625-650 is a little high going rate is about $600 maybe a little lower since the s9 came out.

Yeah my coworker offered me 550 he said you can get a brand new one from Samsung now for 750 they lowered their price. And he saw one on Craigs List for 500 I listed for 650 and was hoping to get at least 600. Husband wants me to keep the Note and not spend the money so I am still deciding what to do. I do love the Note even though I don't use the pen and hate the FP sensor. And I read unlocked Notes will be getting Oreo in 2-3 weeks.
