It might be that you can not downgrade. I did a factory refresh on Nook and reformatted card and reinstalled 7.1 RC and was able to download gapps and back to where I was originally. It is prettty buggy-slow-not really useable, but better than Honeycomb. I guess I will wait for final release-whenever?

It will probably get better when the new stable releases but it also has a lot to do with your SD card. What brand are you using and what class is it?

I bought a Patriot 8gb class 10 card. Figured class 10 would be fast. If there is a card that is better.Please let me know.

Yes, Sandisk although the class may be a lower class it's random write speeds are fifty times the speed of a patriot. Read at least the first post on this thread at XDA. It might be your SD card that is giving you trouble.

My bet is the sd card. Patriot cards have been giving lots of folks fits. A class 2 or 4 sandisk card will work well for a great deal less money. I run 7.1 rc1 and have 0 problems with it. I have not seen any of the issues you describe with mail. 7.1 runs smooth and fast and the battery life is much better than other builds I have tried. Change sd cards and see if things improve before you spend the extra time switching roms. Another thought is that if the problem IS the sd card, any rom you load will give you trouble. Just saying....

If you would have read the thread. Honeycomb is no longer on his SD card because it is buggy as hell and not based off official source code.

Says class 4. Figured faster than the class 2?

Yep 4 is better than 2 but both of them would be better than other brands. This will almost definitely give you a better experience.

Good News-Looking forward to redoing the Nook again and increasing performance. Like it a lot.

In the honeycomb version there was am message box that had all the combined emails from different accounts one of the pages. It showed the headings and number of new emails. Does CM7 have this program?

I'm not sure. I have never used honeycomb for any long period of time. So I never set up my email. You could probably get a widget or something to replace it if it is not included.

Well picked up a Sansdisk card and huge difference from the Patriot 8gb Class 10 card.
Totally faster, almost instant and no bugs. Exactly like a tablet should be. Very impressed.
Can not believe this card that states class 2 or four is that much better than Patriots class 10. Thanks for the recommendation and advice with this!!!
