Definitely July! [edit]

hopefully that roadmap is right but the more and more that comes out it seems like it is. I see verizon doesnt care about blackberry if they release it around the same time as the bionic.

I'm currently using an LG Dare (VX97900) from Verizon and I have an unlimited data plan. It's a 3G phone, but the data plan is an older $15/month plan. I don't think my phone qualifies as a smartphone (even though it's touch screen and is capable of running VZ apps) and I'm not sure if my current data plan counts as an unlimited 3G data plan. Any help on whether or not this counts for grandfathering into the 4G data?

I wonder if they are still going with the 1700mah battery

Original was 1930 I am sure moto will get decent battery life out of whatever they put in they wont skimp out like HTC does. That is one thing moto usually does really well is get good battery life.

Ur gunna have to change it :( ur data now isn't a smartphone data package

Thanks for all the info DBM, much appreciated. Glad to see things starting to pick up again with this phone. Can't wait to pick one up myself!

Agreed. Thanks again for all the info man. (I hate the Dave Mathews Band and refuse to call you DBM :p )

Here's a question for you. I don't know exactly what information you have access to, but what are the chances you can get a complete list of specs on the device?

My pleasure. Definitely gunna be a dock.
Also, does not look like theres a dedicated camera button. No hump either. Pretty much looks like they designed the droid 3 and the bionic hand in hand

edit: from what i hear they "borrowed" a few elements from the asus transformer dock

I was just wondering about the overall size. Since it doesn't have physical buttons on the bottom is it smaller then the Droid X? One rumor was a 4.5 inch screen which probably would make it even bigger. I have the Droid X now and love the phone but It is awkward to handle with one hand because of its size. I like the general size of the Thunderbolt but a little less weight.

It is 4.3". The reason why people thought it was 4.5" is because it was next to a Defy and it was originally said that it was next to Atrix which is 4". So the reason why it looked so large in the photos is because it was next to a Defy which is 3.7":

Man, looks don't matter much to me but... that lower lip, I'm just not feeling it.

Unless it translates into big breasts. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

All will be revealed... Thursday! (Probably not.)

I actually like the lip. One of the things I dislike about my DInc is that I accidentally hit the capacitive buttons all the time when I do anything in landscape view.

Maybe moto is usually good at it, but this isn't a usual task. Trying to get good battery life out of a dual core LTE phone is pretty much impossible right now. I just want to know if they did anything special to handle it and if it's acceptable or not. I'm not a fan of 3rd party extended batteries.

Neither am I but I am sure moto did something to get decent battery life I mean otherwise they would have just released the original with its battery issues rather than go back to the drawing board.

I hope you're right. I've actually considered buying a 4th charger (in addition to my home, work, and car chargers) just so I can drop a deuce and play dungeon hunter without killing my battery.
