Definitely July! [edit]

I read 34 pages. Yay for me.

So, we still don't know screen size, huh?

I need this phone to come out by August 23rd as that is when my 90-days exchange policy is up at Costco. This July 28th talk has me happy :)

I just hope it's not Pentile :(

speeds are consistent. But the conenction drops alot. Many reviewers agree. Watch a phonedog review on the Droid Charge.

Im in the heart of NYC, no outskirt.

I hope that is solved before this device is released, maybe just an issue witht he Charge... and i hope it doesn't have anything to do with it's depth haha :-!

I agree, the Charge is a manageable size. I'd prefer to have it thinner than my OG Droid which I think is .51"? I guess I'd like a thinner device, but now that I've learned that a current smartphone owners will have unlimited 4G, I think I rather deal with the 4G thickness and have these blazing fasts speeds.

Thanks for the reply!:)

I agree make it a little thicker to incorporate a little bigger battery. People complain phones are too thick when it really isn't a big deal people just like to complain.

Do you think its possible its an underclocked 4460? From the pics she sent me im pretty sure its looks like its looks like 1.2ghz
CK already asked but it looks like it from a Spec sheet? And new word on release dates for this and D3?

^^^^ This. Very unfortunate, but having to pull batteries, turn Mobile Data On/Off all the time, reboot the phone a few times a day (though the Charge boots up super fast) isn't cool at all.

Also, people like to complain about thickness because everyone compares everything to the iPhone but they forget Android comes in many flavors, not just one.

Suprising the Charge does boot up very fast.

I guess in my experience the battery life wasnt as good as i heard is because i left that mobile data turned on all day. Even when im in the subway, underground, for an hour.

I have no issues with that with my TB. Glad I have an upgrade now though for the bionic.

Yeah I would like to know where he saw the 1.2GHZ listed. In the spec sheet or is there a menu on gingerbread/blur builds that shows the clock speed. Ive never seen it but then again I've not delved that deep into the new blur.

DBM can you clarify your statement?

Sent from my Droid

I sure hope this phone has NFC and gyroscope built in.. That would make this the baddest phone on the market when it comes out!! I do think they should of went with AMOLED screen though :(

Spend some time in IRC's and then come back and make this statement. I have spent close to 2 years in IRC's with some of the best dev's in the business. A lot of them are my friends. These guys can code like nobody's business and they don't take whats out there and tweak it (the top developers do not tweak existing builds). They build FROM SOURCE.

What they build for our devices are leaps and bounds better than what the manufacturers put out to the masses. It's not a meme that goes viral. It's a fact that goes viral.

Sharon you are speaking out of line on this one. You are ignorant to the facts.

Now kindly step away from the shotgun and lets sit and have a drink :)

Daddy, put the knife away and I won't c0ck the trigger. :p I wasn't speaking about devs. I was talking about the blame game that goes viral based on nothing but repeated misinformation, speculation, or one person's opinion and the like and how people really don't know all that goes into phone development and releases.

Oh, and drinking time begins at 6 p.m. EST. First one is on me. :D

I had heard or read somewhere recently, that 4G in NYC is funny like that because of all the big buildings. I'm hoping 4G will be a lot friendlier in CT, otherwise known by New Yorker's as LaLa Land. ;)

I get 12.5 cm bottom to top (sticky notes come in handy for this) or 4.92 inches. Or did we already know this? It sure sounds like it could be a 4.5" screen.

If its only 4.92 from top to bottom that is sweet they made a larger screen while keeping relative overall size smaller than current 4.3 phones.
