are we all positive that it will have an unlocked bootloader? I have only heard rumors at this point. I would love to have a phone with the bionic's specs running cm7.1
I think it is unlockable. If it comes unlocked out of the box I would be surprised we can all hope though.
Word on the streets is that it will come with a lockable/unlockable bootloader out of the box. The general consensus is that if it doesn't come out of the box that way moto will release an update in the near future that will make it that way. Of course since there has been no official word from moto we don't know for certain yet, but its what the smart people are saying and i'm gonna copy it so i can feel smart too

Seeing what Moto did with the Atrix, there is hope one way or another it will be unlocked. I had hope already seeing what they did with the Xoom.
Well hopefully they do preorders like a week ahead like they do with most phones. Who knows only time will tell. I would think if it is indeed coming out the 28th we will start getting more leaks and that probably next week or the week after as to not try and hinder the droid 3 sales too much.
But I dont see why the d3 matters. Vzw and moto will profit from either phone entering the market.

Because Verizon wants to get the most our of both. I agree it shouldnt matter and think they should have done a dual launch on July 14 since they are aimed at two different groups.
thank you very much sir. I tried to warn him all day but *shrugs* I guess he learned the hard way (cough banhammer dropped). Thanks for the admin assist because he was starting to annoy alot of people and detract from all that is bionic.
On a bionic note I have a feeling it will follow as DBM said and be lock/unlockable following what he learned from his district vz rep. This is going to be an epic phone to say the least.
