Delay in answering calls

On Verizon I get a several second delay before anyone can hear me after answering the phone, I can't hear them either and most people hang up. This delay happens about 70% of the time.

Anyone else having this issue, and if so, has anyone found a fix?

Do you have an Android watch? I was having an issue where my watch wouldn't allow the phone to take the call. Had to turn this off for the watch and no problem since.

I'm on Verizon and haven't noticed this problem. I left my "preferred network type" at the default setting it came with. (First option).

I have the Samsung Gear, but it runs Tizen.

After working with Essential support, I called Verizon and they fixed the issue by resetting my network connection on their end.

I'm on Global. Works fine now, the issue was on Verizon side.
