Delayed Notifications?

So i absolutely love this phone coming from an iPhone. However, i have one annoying issue and that is that my notifications on my iPhone were instant. On my S21 Ultra they seem to be delayed 2 - 3 seconds which is no biggie BUUUT sometimes they will not come through what so ever until i unlock the phone.

Twitter for example. I might get a notification immediately on my iPhone but i check my S21 Ultra and i see nothing. Then the second i use my fingerprint to unlock the device it comes through? I cannot find anything in the settings to fix this. Background activity etc is turned on and i disabled optimise battery usage for specific apps also.

Any thoughts?

Welcome to the no notifications club. :-\ Been having this problem for the past few Samsung phones.

No notifications until you actually turn on the screen.

Yeah! Hardly supposed to be this way? Wtf?

I often will not get the notification until i use my fingerprint to unlock the phone. I could stare at the lockscreen and nothing but as soon as the phone is unlocked i get them. Other times they come through without issue.

This is not a network issue as im not referring to sms etc Iam talking about notifications from facebook, twitter, whatsapp etc

Not sure u can do anything about couple seconds delay.

No , iam saying generally speaking i can live with that but there too many times when i do not receive the notifications at all. It's as if the screen needs to be turned on. Once the screen goes to sleep , notifications go to sleep.

Tons of people having this issue online although to my surprise its apparently been an issue for a while now and isnt just a recent thing nor specific to the S21 Ultra!

Oh yeah that I agree, I seen it here in the forums , very strange , I've been through list of suggestions and still same . Not sure what's going on with that, but if memory serves me correctly I don't think anyone did a factory reset , maybe others can chime in .

S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, Tab S6 and now the S21 Ultra suffer from this problem.

It has something to do with Android Doze and IMO there is no fix.
I've pulled my hair out over this problem for the past couple of years with no positive results at all.

Be curious if a factory reset would solve this

My brand new Tab S7+ 5G is having the same notification problem as the S21 Ultra :(

Its ruining my experience and its sadly a big enough issue to warrant a return. Its so strange because the second i unlock the device, boom they are there. Occasionally one will come through while the device is locked. Seems to happen with twitter more then other apps too.

How can dose be causing this issue on only some phones?? The majority of users are clearly not having this issue ?

What I can't figure out is why some apps like my Ring alarm, Aqua Mail ETC will have instant notifications while most other apps won't?

Makes no sense. Im also having an issue with whatsapp now. I just noticed that any voice message i receive sounds terrible but if its sent to any other app it sounds fine. Im guessing its not the phones fault but all these things NEVER were any issue with my iPhone. Love this phone but i think i may have to go back to my iPhone :( IOS is just more polished and works flawlessly

I'm having this issue with my voicemail as well. The sound I've chosen when I receive a voicemail does not trigger when someone leaves me a voicemail until I go into the voicemail itself. I'm not alerted beforehand

Guys can try reset settings , in settings>general management>reset>reset settingsScreenshot_20210428-215418_Settings.jpg

To be fair i seem to be only experiencing this issue with twitter. I dont get notifications as frequently with other apps but i think every other app is given them to me instantly. Twitter will stops providing me with notifications once the screen locks for more then 1 minute.

I initially thought it was this way with all notifications but if its only with twitter then i can live with it although of course id rather it be a non issue all together.
