I have a sprint number in my contacts that I'm sure was preloaded in my OnePlus 7 pro (800)7774681. Long pressing itto select it the delete option is disabled. Problem is I use do not disturb so that only my contacts ring through. Add they are important and the some 15-20 spam calls a day are not. I have now today been called 3 times by this number and it well "disturbs me". Because it is unwanted calls but I can't stop it because I see no way if removing it from my contacts. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

Until you figure out how to delete, you can go into the contacts and tell it to go straight to voicemail.

Safe mode had the same problem. I was a bit concerned by the Google search user reports on the number. Also it is showing imported from at the bottom and the same icon the contacts app uses. I don't see a straight to voicemail option anywhere. Thanks all so far for your help.

Go to the contact and then click the three dots upper right and then you should see the screen shot.

I don't seem to even have an option to edit the contact to get the screen you are in to get the menu. Tapping it brings up details but the dot menu don't contain a delete option.

Can you go in phone app then 3 dots upper right corner tap >Block settings tap>add the number there ?

Looks like this works. A shame that this was the resort. Still would rather not have the contact itself. Not sure why a contact would be preloaded and not removable.

That is strange , but glad this helps you.

Back in the day when I used to get phones through Verizon, I recall there were preloaded Verizon phone numbers you couldn't get rid of. Carriers can do annoying stuff like that. Ever since I got my first unlocked Nexus phone, then on to Pixels, haven't had to deal with that nonsense.

Verizon will not let you delete those preloaded ones but you can hide them.

That's helpful to decrease clutter, but are you able to block those contacts? That's the OP's main objective. (It's been a looooong time since I've been on Verizon, so I wouldn't know the answer)

Yeah, what I suggested to put the number in block list has fixed the issue from that number calling for OP.
