deleted all music but it's still on the phone

I went into my Music folder and deleted everything, however, in Google Play Music app, all songs are still there. I can play on the phone and via bluetooth to car. How is this possible? BTW I am not using a micro sd card.

Because Google keeps track of what you have listened to. Go into the settings on the app and clear your cache. That should take care of it.
