I just did a factory reset to see if it will improve some battery issues I was having with 4.4.2.

I have everything back to normal but I can't figure out what the hell is up with the default mail app. I delete emails on the Google mail account I have setup in it, and they keep coming back like they were never deleted. Its like it's only deleted on the client but doesn't push the deletion to the server.

Have it set to auto (push). Wasn't doing it prior to the factory reset. Any ideas?

Delete the email accounts and then set them up again. This has been the fix for myself and several others here.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0.

That was driving me crazy too and this seemed to work. Now when i delete them they stay deleted.. go figure ;)

PEOPLE...i figured this out after months of trying different things. If you delete an email without clicking on it (opening it) that email will keep popping up until you do. SO Don't delete an email until you have clicked on it so it no longer shows as bold. WORKS FOR ME!
