Deleted video from camera album automatically deleted saved video clip in Video Editor Album

I recorded a video, then trummed it and saved it with a different name. It resided in the video editor album. I deleted the original video from the camera album, but that also automatically deleted my video editor clip! Is there any way to retrieve the clip?

When you save something it doesn't "reside" in an app, it resides in storage, as a file. When you delete the file, it's deleted. so you can't open it in any app - it' not there to open.

Something tells me that you saved the edited version over the original, not as a separate file. Not having watched you doing it, I can't be certain of what happened. But you did something wrong, because you can't delete an open file (and if it was in the editor, it was open, so it couldn't get deleted - but you say it did).
