Deleting a Samsung Galaxy s8 home screen widget

I'm trying to add a calendar widget to one of my pages but it keeps saying that that which it is already added to the home screen on my Samsung 8 Galaxy yeah I cannot see that widget on my home screen so I cannot delete it. So how does one delete a widget on the home screen that they can't see?

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you're using the stock Samsung Experience or One UI launcher, correct? Try wiping the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-34311
